We at the SoftBank Group continue to hold this vision close to our hearts as we conduct our business.
In our Mobile Communications segment, the long-awaited Platinum Band and next-generation high-speed data communication services such as SoftBank 4G LTE started in earnest, offering our customers a smooth, fast communication experience. We will aim for further advances while steadily overcoming the connectivity challenges that we have been made aware of in the past.
Furthermore, in October 2012, we announced business integration with eAccess Ltd. and the strategic acquisition of Sprint Nextel Corporation. The addition of these two companies to the SoftBank Group will make our Group-wide mobile business the third largest in the world by sales.
The SoftBank Group not only provides telecommunications services, but also a variety of Internet services worldwide, and has led the information-communication business. This year marks the start of our full-scale global deployment as we venture further into the US market and enter a new phase.
This is another major challenge for the Group, but by working hard and learning from each other we will seek to go all the way and pursue our Corporate Philosophy on an even larger stage.
I am truly excited when I think of the business development that we can achieve through further strengthening Group synergies. In the future we will increasingly expand the value of what SoftBank Telecom can offer our customers.
